Move-In
Move-In Cleaning in Avon, OH
Clean the house before the boxes arrive. We clean every cabinet inside and out, every appliance inside and out, every closet shelf, every baseboard — while the home is still empty and easy to reach.

Why a move-in clean is worth scheduling
The week between closing and the moving truck is the only time the new house will ever be empty, accessible, and yours. Once the truck arrives, the cabinets fill up, the closets fill up, the appliances are in place, and the chance to clean every surface from the inside is gone for years.
Move-in cleans are also a hygiene reset. You do not know what cleaning standard the previous owners kept, whether they had pets, or what the bathroom grout looked like under their decor. A move-in clean gives you a known baseline.
What a move-in clean covers
Move-in scope is built around the empty house. Every cabinet and drawer, every closet, every appliance, every wall and floor edge.
- Every kitchen cabinet inside and out, every drawer wiped.
- Every bathroom vanity inside and out, every drawer wiped.
- Every closet shelf and rod wiped, closet floors vacuumed and mopped.
- Refrigerator inside and out, including freezer.
- Oven inside and out, including racks and broiler tray.
- Dishwasher interior, filter, and door gasket.
- Microwave inside and out.
- Every wall spot-cleaned for visible marks.
- Every baseboard, door frame, light switch, and outlet cover hand-wiped.
- Floors vacuumed and mopped in full.
- Bathrooms detailed, including grout.
Timing the clean before move-in
The best window is one to three days before the moving truck. The house is yours, the previous owners are out, and nothing has been brought in yet. We can also schedule the morning of the move if the truck is arriving in the afternoon — we coordinate with the moving company directly so the house is clean and dry when the first box lands.
For Avon, Avon Lake, and Westlake closings, we usually have 5–7 days of lead time. For Bay Village, Rocky River, and farther Elyria zips, plan on a week.
Move-in vs. move-out cleaning
Mechanically the two services share most of the scope. The differences are timing and outcome: a move-out clean is built for a final walkthrough with a realtor, property manager, or landlord; a move-in clean is built for the family moving in. Move-in cleans are more flexible on small cosmetic issues that do not affect livability; move-out cleans are graded by inspection.

FAQ
Frequently asked
- How far in advance should I book a move-in clean?
- One to two weeks of lead time is comfortable. We can sometimes accommodate three to five business days, especially for Avon, Avon Lake, and Westlake. Move dates with hard closing deadlines get priority scheduling.
- Do you clean inside the refrigerator and oven for a move-in?
- Yes, both are included. Interior cleaning is much easier with an empty house and is part of the standard move-in scope.
- Can you start before I get the keys?
- We need access. As soon as you have keys, a lockbox code, or the previous owner's permission, we can be on-site.
- Will you clean walls and remove marks?
- We spot-clean visible marks on painted walls. We do not magic-eraser entire walls — that strips paint sheen unevenly. If a wall needs more, we recommend touch-up paint after we clean.
- Do you provide a checklist or receipt of what was done?
- Yes. You get a written work order before the visit and a finish photo of each room after.
