A deep clean is the right service in three situations: as the first visit before starting a recurring schedule, as a seasonal reset once or twice a year, or after a stretch where the home has been without service for several months. What a deep clean includes that a recurring clean does not

- Baseboards in every room hand-wiped, not just visible runs.
- Door frames, door faces, and door tops hand-wiped.
- Light fixtures and ceiling fan blades cleaned (where reachable from a 2-step ladder).
- Inside the oven, racks removed and degreased.
- Inside the microwave, fully degreased.
- Inside the refrigerator, shelves removed where access allows, interior wiped.
- Window sills and tracks vacuumed and wiped.
- Cabinet faces and handles in detail (not just touchpoints).
- Grout in bathrooms detailed.
- Counters cleared and cleaned behind small appliances (toaster, coffee maker, stand mixer).
How long a deep clean takes
A deep clean on a 2,000 sq ft home in Avon takes a two-person team four to six hours. Larger homes in Westlake or Bay Village with original detail and more woodwork run on the longer end. We arrive in a 60-minute window and stay until the checklist is finished — never clock-watching at the end.

- Do I need a deep clean before starting recurring service?
- Usually yes. If the home has not been on a professional maintenance schedule, the first visit needs the extra scope a deep clean covers — baseboards, inside oven, grout, behind appliances. From visit two onward, the recurring checklist is enough to keep that baseline.
- How often should I book a deep clean?
- Once or twice a year is typical. Many Avon clients book deep cleans in spring (post-winter salt and mud) and fall (post-summer windows-open dust).
- Will you move furniture for a deep clean?
- We move accent furniture and dining chairs. We do not move heavy items — couches, beds, dressers, large appliances — for safety and floor protection. If you want underneath those, move them in advance and we will clean the exposed area.
- Is a deep clean different from a move-out clean?
- Yes. A deep clean assumes a furnished, lived-in home. A move-out clean assumes the home is empty and adds full interior cleaning of every cabinet, drawer, closet, and appliance — work that is impractical when the home is occupied.
- Can I split the deep clean across two visits?
- Yes. For larger homes we sometimes schedule two consecutive days. Same flat price, split over two visits, easier on the household.
